Sign up for a consultation to receive thorough and tailored feedback for your script! You'll meet either in person in Andersonville or through Zoom with Theatre Arcana Artistic Director Riles August Holiday in a 2-3 hour consultation geared toward advancing your script to its fullest potential. Depending on availablity we may also be joined by one of our assistant dramaturgs for even more support and feedback!

Consultations start with creating common ground on goals, rediscovering the creative impulse that drove you to write your story, and defining the events that you've already written. From there, we'll identify the strengths and weaknesses, structure, premise promises, and opportunities to progress.
​
Every script is different, and every playwright has different goals for their script. So each consultation ends with micro to macro-level feedback fed through the lens of matching the individual playwright's goals.
Price:
$100 for a 2-3 hour consultation, $60 for a follow up consultation for the next draft.

Meet your dramaturg
Theatre Arcana Artistic Director
Riles August Holiday has been an adjudicator of various playwrighting awards for nearly a decade and a dramaturg for just as long! He started as a dramaturg after getting out of the Army assisting writers to tell military stories. He has since expanded his dramaturgy to all stories after progressing in his own career as a playwright, completing his MFA, and starting a Theatre Company focused on New Works.
​
He is a director, playwright, performer, and hobbyist photographer. He's performed on stages from coast to coast and all across Chicago. His work has been produced by The Walton Arts Center, Nadiem Baum Studios, and Trike Theatre.
​
Riles has his MFA from the University of Arkansas and is the recipient of a Certificate of Achievement from the Kennedy Center(before it was uncool).
